Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026. This policy explains how Rexme tools handle information when you use our website.
Summary
Rexme tools are designed to run locally in your browser. When you convert a PDF, compress an image, or paste text into a utility, that content is processed on your device. We do not operate a backend that receives your files for those core features.
What we do not collect (core tools)
- Files you select for PDF, image, or hash operations are not uploaded to Rexme servers for processing.
- Text you paste into formatters, decoders, or generators is not sent to us for transformation.
- We do not require an account to use the public tools.
Local storage on your device
Some features may store data in your browser’s localStorage or sessionStorage, for example:
- SEO admin panel overrides (on your deployment)
- UTM Builder link history
- Markdown editor drafts
This data stays on your device until you clear site data in browser settings. We do not sync it to a Rexme account.
Third-party scripts
Individual tools may load open-source libraries from CDNs (for example jsPDF, pdf.js, or font assets). Those requests go to the CDN provider under their policies. Self-hosting those assets on your deployment reduces third-party exposure.
Analytics & hosting
If the site operator enables analytics (Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.) via SEO settings, those services may collect usage data according to their policies. Hosting access logs (IP, user agent, requested URL) may be kept by your web host — configure retention there.
Admin area
The /admin/ SEO editor is password-protected and excluded from search indexing via robots.txt and noindex tags. Change the default password in admin/auth-config.js before deploying.
Children
Rexme is a general-purpose utility site not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as tools or hosting change. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect revisions.
